COMFY DAY

So, I'm finally better after one of the worst weekends of my life. This was meant to be a relaxing week off work and it's been a disaster because I've been so ill. I'm slowly on the mend now and I have this new comfy outfit post for you guys. I've also had a lot of time on my hands to think over a few things in life and I'm think about changing the name of my blog.

I know this seems a crazy idea and it's going to be so much hassle but I feel it will be worth it in the end. It's not necessarily something bloggers tend to do for fear of confusing their audience, but I think in order to progress and grow further, I would like a new name more suited to my style. I will announce it on Instagram over the next few days! Oh also, anyone still using www.velvetwriter.com will be redirected!

Welcome to a new fresh look to Velvet Writer.. more clean styling and fresher outfit posts. I am hiding away my bright clothes and edgy ways, for more modern, cutting edge, monochrome trends this month. You will be seeing a fimilar style in most of the posts that follow. I see this as the evolution of my blog and how I see my style and taste changing from when I first started.

I have white on white, both Topshop Boutique pieces. I regret not showing off how amazing this shirt dress underneath and how much structural detail it offers, but I wanted to wear an oversized jumper and accentuate how the dress is slightly londer and curved at the back. 

I think this jumper looks so rich, Topshop in Liverpool no longer sell this jumper anymore, only in black.. but you can still catch this beauty online and on eBay. Mine is quite a big size, as I purposely wanted it over sized, I think it's a size 14.

I love this outfit, I love a great casual outfit.. one I can go to work in, feel stylish but comfortable all day. I purchased my Mom Jeans in the Summer time but they are definitely selling out this October. Mine are very pale but there are some great darker denim Mom Jeans that everyone needs in their wardrobe. I bought this gorgeous oversized minimal, fresh white jumper from Topshop Boutique and wearing it with my jeans, is simple but effective.

I decided to wear my eBay boots and rolled up my jeans more at the bottom. Wearing my fresh white jumper was a perfect opportunity to blog was previous POTW 'Pick of the Week'. My amazing leopard print backpack. This backpack is perfect for just £9. The material is so soft, the leopard print, with the gold buckled accents, really makes it look expensive and classy against my new fave white jumper.
