YEARLY STAPLES

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of posts... I have been super busy!!

Here is a simple post where I wanted to show you my current staple wardrobe pieces for this time of year. Yes the sun is currently shining, but lets be real with ourselves, we do live in the UK after all and with the weather being extremely unpredictable, these items are what I always go to...

My ripped jeans.

A basic tee.

Black heeled sandals.

Deep red lips.

My version of a staple piece is an item in your wardrobe that everyone needs, something you can't be without and an item that you can mix and match and create outfits around quite easily.

Just a quick one tonight as I'm off to Amsterdam tomorrow :) Be sure to check out my instagram for some Dam updates. I'm quite nervous but excited. Let's see what all the hypes about. 

I recently went to London, as many of you will know and this was one of my outfits, it's super comfy and everyone loves an all black combo. I went back to the 90s with some chic braids and also threw a bucket hat on for some All Saints band vibes.

COMFY DAY

So, I'm finally better after one of the worst weekends of my life. This was meant to be a relaxing week off work and it's been a disaster because I've been so ill. I'm slowly on the mend now and I have this new comfy outfit post for you guys. I've also had a lot of time on my hands to think over a few things in life and I'm think about changing the name of my blog.

I know this seems a crazy idea and it's going to be so much hassle but I feel it will be worth it in the end. It's not necessarily something bloggers tend to do for fear of confusing their audience, but I think in order to progress and grow further, I would like a new name more suited to my style. I will announce it on Instagram over the next few days! Oh also, anyone still using www.velvetwriter.com will be redirected!

This Puppy Tooth crop jacket was my first piece of uniform in work for the Winter. It also has matching trousers, but I decided against the full suit as I know I wouldn't get round to wearing it that much. Just having the feature jacket in my wardrobe is enough, there is just so many outfit options, the jacket will be an endless key piece this season. 

I found these amazing baggy, boyfriend ripped jeans on the Missguided website. I have become quite obsessed with Missguided at the moment, buying on average two items a week. It's more the excitement of the parcel and the fact that the two items never seem to make much difference to my bank balance, therefore perfectly justifiable. 

Last but not least my gorgeous new shoe purchase. I've always loved the idea of a nice heel with some casual looking jeans. So I chose these amazingly affordable black and white contrast heels again from Missguided. They are really neatly made and just £24.99. I thought they would like great along with the jacket. So there the outfit is complete.

Oh and I'm also sporting my new hair, I have gone much darker, perhaps not intended, but all the same I like it.
