GIVING IN TO GINGHAM

I was very much denying my love of gingham for awhile as I just wasn't sure on it and when bloggers tend to overdo something.. whether it be a style or pattern, it puts me off, but I have definitely 'given into gingham'.. it is official. Here is the dress that made that all happen. This midi/nearly maxi dress is going to be such a strong staple for the upcoming hot weeks. Roll on 27 degrees this weekend guys!

I was reading Grazia magazine today when I came across the word.... Swinter!!!:)

That word, if it's even an official word, it's bloody perfect. It describes the current state of this past month, and also describes the struggle we are all going through trying to find an appropriate outfit to wear. "Why do you have a skirt on, but a jumper in your hand?" "It's Swinter, what do you expect!!"

Straight away I wanted to pair this dress with some black boots and give it more of an edgier vibe. I love the split detail in the front and this is definitely something I would wear to a blogging event or dinner in London with friends. The dress is super flattering with its soft fabric and can also be style with some sexy heels and a leather jacket.

Hi Guys, I have had a great week so far, work has slowed down after the Christmas rush, so it's back to calm and normality. Also, I have had some amazing comments and feedback on my blog the last few days. I lovely reader Chloe left such a nice message on a post the other day and it's left me feeling really optimistic for the future and what it might have in store.

This outfit is one you could say I am living in at the moment. I really love this burnt orange sweat dress from Topshop. It was originally the structure that caught my eye and the fact it has pockets but now the colour is really growing on me and I feel it worked well with my richer hair colour and complexion. 

I have made the orange more edgy with some wet look PVC leggings, also from Topshop and a gothic choker I bid for on eBay. There are still so many variations of this necklace that you can find on eBay, all under £5.

VW
