SMILES FOR CONVERSE

Ribbed Crop - Glassons | Shoes - Converse | Jeans - H&M | Jacket - Vintage

I have always been a converse girl and my trusty black and white ones are 5 years or more and going strong. They really have been through hell and back and still in a good condition. I honestly believe they are the only piece of footwear from my collection that I can wear with anything.

A favourite look at the minute is wearing some simple high waisted black trousers, a checked shirt and leather jacket. It's comfy, reliable and you know you're going to feel good.

Simple attention to details, such as a small ribbed crop and a fedora. This sounds really silly, but when I wear my hat, I feel like it makes me look as though I take my fashion quite seriously aha.

Oh and I can't forget some MAC red lips to add that feminine touch to a boyish, rocky ensemble.

HOUSE OF JAM | CHECK MATE

House of Jam were kind enough to send me an awesome package including this oversized checked shirt dress and also some amazing blue vintage high waisted trousers, which many of you will have seen flooding my instagram pages over the last month.

I loved both these pieces and they were just amazing quality too. I used to be obsessed with vintage clothes and raiding my local vintage shops for bargain finds became a regular occurance. So when online vintage stores wish to collaborate with Glitter and Grimes, is a great privilege, as I really appreciate great quality vintage garments.

I have styled this oversized checked shirt with my faithful fedora hat from H&M, Primark cut out boots and a simple plaited belt round the middle nipping it in at the waist.

RAGGED PRIEST / DENIM STATEMENT

Black Snapback - The Hundreds, Denim Shirt - Ragged Priest, Black Leggings - Primark, Grey Frilly Socks - Internacionale, Levi Boots - Vintage, Casio Watch - Urban Outfitters

So I'm back in work, it's back to reality for me. Being home in Wales gave me the opportunity to appreciate the place more as I see only the city wales and my gorgeous little flat is right in the heart of everything. Don't get me wrong, I love being able to walk 3 minutes to work and have the cinema down the road. I managed to take this outfit post in Wales and the sun was out. It felt really strange, as this Winter has gone on forever and it literally found it impossible to focus on the camera lens, hence the fact I'm not really looking directly at the camera in any of the shots.

I have on my new denim shirt by Ragged Priest, as a denim shirt is a new statement must have in your wardrobe this season. My offers a slight twist with tartan patches and a more grunge look. It's really like weight, so I knew I could wear this through the summer time with some shorts. I have one my favourite The Hundreds snapback and some simple black leggings. This is a key Spring look for me and a very casual go-to outfit. I'm planning on going to Alton Towers this year, as I normally make sure I have a day there once a year, but I missed out last year, so I'm thinking an outfit along these lines would be perfect, comfy and practical.

I'm finally leaving my MK watch on the side table and leaving the house with my old favourite, my vintage gold casio watch I bought a few years ago from Urban Outfitters. As I have this new obsession with the female singer Foxes, I noticed she wears her one all the time, so it encouraged me to bring mine out of my jewellery boxes and start the trend all over again. Click on the link above if you want one for yourself.

BERRY RED AND STRIPES

Turban Hat - Primark,
Small High Neck Crop - Primark,
Black Leather Look Skirt - Primark,
Berry Red Shirt - Topshop,
Necklace - Vintage,
Black Sandals - New Look

Let me begin by professing my love for this shirt. As soon as I saw it in work, I knew I had to have it. I sometimes can't avoid floaty garments, because they can just be worn in so many different ways. This fabric is amazing too. I loved the berry red colour with the black stripe detail and the buttons all the way through the front. I have worn this buttoned up before with a nice little belt round the middle, but now my preferred choice is it just left open revealing a simple clean outfit underneath.
This will definitely be a strong piece to take me through the Summer, with a nice tee and some frayed denim shorts.

I decided to keep it really simple and have an all black combo underneath. I have on my favourite black high neck crop, which I found in the sale at Primark for £3. I also have on a small pleather skirt, sheer tights and a turban like hat. I haven't had this turban out since last year and I'm feeling they should make a definitive come back.

Where are my sandals from I hear you say?....
New Look. These were an absolute steal, I have seen so many different variations on instagram and from fellow bloggers. I wanted to find my own and have been searching high and low.. I originally wanted a white pair, but when I came across these black sandals on the New Look website, I had to have them. For just £24.99 they are an absolute steal, last week New Look had a student offer of 20% off too. My boyfriend kindly got me these babies for just £19.99 :) Winning!!

Oversized Homies

Beanie - Vintage,
Cream Bralet - Topshop,
Cream Coat -  Topshop,
Mom Jeans - Topshop,
New Balance Trainers - Footasylum

Love love love this coat... my boyfriend thought it was a dressing gown when we came to do the shoot, and that I was just using it to keep me warm whilst we walked across the street. I don't care, I love it and it is so cosy and effortlessly put together.

I love the way it just falls on your body, the arms are stitched so they fit just perfectly where your arm bend at the elbow. I also love the larger than life detail at the front, and with seeing so many over sized coats and trainer combos on instagram.. I had to jump on the trend waggon.

This was another perfect opportunity to bring out my New Balance trainers again on a post. I love this look, nothing better than an over sized coat and some comfortable footwear. Obviously I have thrown a beanie in there too. As I continue to say.. my collection is never ending and I'm going to eventually need a separate room for my head wear. Seriously!

This bralet is from Topshop and it's perfect for just £18. I originally had the idea to wear it with some high waisted smart trousers, but I wanted to try it with some pale jeans and this coat.
